Messing around with an idea while I finish up the last one.
Let me know if I should keep it up.
I'm also thinking of trying it two ways, once MF like it is and another FF just to see which works better. Or, maybe both? Hmm.
Thanks!
Chandra leaned back in her office chair and sighed at the bills littering her desk. Business had been slow for her the last few months. She rubbed her face with her hands and checked her business bank account again. Then she checked her personal account. She didn't have enough to cover her internet in the office, much less the rent, even though it was a small, shitty, single room with no window in a mediocre part of town. It was only just big enough for her desk, her own chair and two old but decent ones for clients. The flourescent lights cast a harsh pallor over her features as she lay her head on her desk, sighing.
Her mobile vibrated, a short buzz for a text. She pulled it up and looked. Her little talk bubble icon had a 1 on it. She pressed it and saw it was from a number she didn't konw.
'Help! My wife is missing!'
It was promising, but text was not likely to be the best way to get through this. She texted back, 'Can you talk?'
Her phone started buzzing more, the phone app opening to cover the screen. It was the same number, so she answered.
"Hello?"
"She's missing! You have to help!" said a man's voice.
"Wait, slow down and tell me the full story."
"My wife and I went to a show two nights ago. I haven't seen her since!"
"Tell me everything that has happened." Chandra inwardly sighed, but waited for the distraught man to continue.
"We went to a club, she went to the bathroom, and she never came back! You have to find her!" Chandra could almost hear the tears.
"Have you gone to the police?"
"They're not doing anything! Please, help!"
Well, if he paid. "Why don't you come in and we can talk through the details. Bring pictures of her and anything else you can think of that might help."
"I'll be right there!" he said.
"Wait," said Chandra, "I didn't..." He hung up. "...catch your name."
She sighed and rubbed her face again, prepared to wait for a paycheck that was hopefully large enough to cover some bills.
Half an hour later, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Chandra shouted.
The door opened and in came a handsome, tall, well-built young man, probably in his early twenties, in a crumpled shirt and slacks. The bags under his obviously tired and worried eyes showed how little sleep he'd gotten and how distressed he was. "Ms. Holloway?"
"Yes, please sit," she said, motioning to the chairs in front of her. "You are?"
"Jacob Langston. Please help me, no one has listened."
Chandra took a sip of water from her metal bottle and set it down. "Relax. Just tell me the details."
"We went to a show two nights ago. When we got up to leave, she said she had to go to the bathroom. She headed down the hall and I haven't seen her since." He ran his hands through his hair. "You have to help me. Nobody else is listening."
She wanted to ask who wasn't listening other than the police, but thought better of it. "It's okay, just tell me everything you remember."
"I, well, that's just it." He looked embarrassed. "I don't remember much. He took us both up on stage, and, well..."
"Who took you up on stage?"
"The hypnotist."
Chandra schooled her features. Think of the money, think of the rent. "Okay, what hypnotist?"
"The Amazing Mezmerist. He did some basic induction to start off with, and then asked for volunteers to raise their hand. Both of us did, and we looked at each other a little surprised. Then we were walking up on stage, and... And then we were back at our table, and she was going to the bathroom. For some reason, I didn't wait." He put his face in his hands andsoftly mumbled, "I didn't wait."
Chandra took a second to compose herself. She wasn't sure why the guy would lie, but something wasn't right about his story. Nobody listening made a lot of sense. She should walk away from this one. Fast.
Her bank account started talking. "Okay, do you have a picture?"
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell. Unlocking it, he pressed on his photo app and swiped a few out of the way to get to one of a dirty blonde with a bright smileand sparkling eyes. "This is Lindsay."
"Lindsay, huh? Lindsay Langston?" Chandra took the phone and studied the photo.
"No, Lindsay Hunt. We both didn't care about the last name."
"Huh." Chandra sent herself the picture from his phone. "Any others?" He took the phone back and sent her some more travel photos and a few from bars around town. "And you say she walked off and you just left?"
"Yeah, it was... I dunno, I was just supposed to leave. I left." Tears started down his face. "I just left." He slumped, putting his forehead on the desk.
"Okay, I'll see what I can do." She didn't suspect it would be much. "Where was this club?"
"The Comedy Club down on 17th."
"Okay, I know the one." She had been a few times, usually on dates that ended abruptly, like most of hers seemed to. Jacob was still crying, so she left him to it while she pulled out her cheap phone and looked up the club. "It doesn't look like this Amazing Mezmerist is still at the club." She hit the call button on her search screen.
"Hello, Comedy Club, Kylie speaking. How can I help you?"
"Hi Kylie. I'm Detective Chandra Holloway, and I am searching for a missing wife, Lindsay Hunt, She was last seen at your club."
"Oh, does he have you looking too?"
"What?" Chandra said, a bit surprised.
"He's been bugging us since yesterday morning," said Kylie.
"Ah, so you don't have any info?"
"Not really. You have a warrant?"
"I'm a P.I., not police." Chandra knew what was coming.
"Well, good luck, Ms. Holloway." The phone clicked dead.
"Great." She looked up at Jacob, who had sat up and was staring right at her.
"Did you get anything? They just hung up on me," he said.
"Yeah, same." She sighed. "Give me a bit to dig. Do you have the retainer?"
"Venmo?" he asked. She pressed a few times on her phone and held up the QR code. She blinked a few times as she saw the amount hit. He'd given extra. "Hurry. Find her." His eyeswere pleading.
The Comedy Club was a dead end when she got there, the employees not giving her any information nor the security footage. She checked around and the area had security cameras hanging all over, but footage would be difficult to get without the police behind her and a warrant. She found that The Amazing Mezmerist was in another club about an hour away, and with no other immediate leads, she figured she should check him out.
First, she let her safety valve, Maddie, know she was heading out on her own and what was up. Mostly Maddie just bailed her out, but it was better to have her around just in case. It was Monday, so getting in was simple enough. She was a little surprised the club was even open. A small crowd was scattered around the dimly-lit place, with cracking red leather wrap-around chairs and real candles in old orange glasses. She got a virgin Dacqueri, figuring she should keep her wits. The other people in the room seemed older, talking amongst themselves, but one couple was younger. The woman was animated, talking about whatever, and the man with her was less enthusiastic. Chandra chuckled a bit. The lights dimmed further, and a spotlight lit up the center of the small stage.
"Please give a warm welcome for The Amazing Mezmerist!" A smattering of applause greeted the tall, thin man walking on stage in a glittering, sliver jacket, white tux shirt and black pants. He had his arm up, covering his face with his lapels, leaving just his eyes looking out around the crowd. Chandra glanced at the young couple and the woman was clapping loudly and jumping in her seat. The man was almost shrinking back from her.
With a flourish, The Amazing Mezmerist flipped around and raised his arms high. "Sleep!" he cried out, and the crowd quieted, looking around at each other. "Little somnambulist humor, there, folks." He chuckled and the speakers echoed the raspy sound around the room. Chandra flinched and almost felt embarrassed for him.
"Great to have all of you here," he said, looking around at each person in turn. Chandra noted that it was more like trying to spot marks than work the crowd. "I have a fun showplanned for the evening, and I'm not much of a comedian, so let's get started." He whipped out a watch on a dangling chain. There was a smattering of polite laughter. "Seriously, though, I'm going to start with some deep breathing exercises, a few little tricks to see who might be susceptible here in the audience." He cleared his throat and stood up perfectly straight."Start with breathing in deep through your nose," and he fluttered his hands under his face like he was fanning air up, "and out through your mouth," and he made a blowing sound into the mike. "In, out. Deep breathing, deep breathing." Chandra looked around and saw that only the overly-excited lady was following the hypnotist's lead. Everyone else was watching him, as he seemed determined to make a fool out of himself on stage.
Chandra sighed, then sighed again.
"Now, close your eyes and visualize a quiet beach." Chandra laughed a little, thinking she was already in a quiet place. He really wasn't very good. "Your happy, quiet beach." Avery quiet place, but certainly not her happy place. The check that was keeping her here was her happiness right now, and the only reason she was putting up with this silly banter. "Keep breathing, in and out. In and out." Chandra sighed, then sighed again. "Remember, eyes closed. See yourself watching the ocean, drifting in and out, in and out, with your breathing, slowing down, breathing slowly as the ocean drifts in and out."
Chandra zoned out. This was boring. She couldn't wait for the damn show to be over so she could talk to this Amazing Mezmerist. "Raise your hand if you can feel the sun, smell the salty air, hear the waves of the ocean." Chandra's hand went up, and she was a little surprised. Looking around, somehow everyone's hands were up. It was quiet, but not like before. Everyone was still.
Something felt a little off.
"Good, very good," said the Amazing Mezmerist, and she could hear the smile. She looked at him, hand still raised. "Now, I need a volunteer. Someone who has secrets, someone whowon't embarrass easily." Chandra stared at her hand, still up in the air. There were a few others up, and the one lady had her hand waving excitedly. The man with her was covering his face, obviously embarrassed.
"Good, good." He looked right at Chandra. "You, come on up." Chandra felt herself rising. "Right on up here." He gestured at her to approach the few steps up. She walked over, up the short staircase and onto the stage that was just big enough for the two of them and a chair. "Please, sit." He moved behind the wooden kitchen chair and swept his hand to signal her to sit down. Her body moved and her mind was too lethargic to stop it.
Something was definitely off.
"What's your name, sweetheart?" Chandra looked up but he gestured for her to speak to the audience.
"Chandra," she said before her mind caught up to remind her to use an alias.
"Chandra, beautiful name for a beautiful lady." He smiled at her as she looked up at him to complain, and she dazzled in his eyes and let her protest die on her lips. "So, Chandra, whisper to me what your secret is."
The little voice in her mind trying to keep her from revealing herself was wrapped under the fog in her mind. "I'm a detective," she whispered into his ear, "here to investigateyou and a missing wife."
The Amazing Mezmerist blinked a few times while he considered his reply. It wasn't the first time, but he'd never had one up on stage like this before. "So, Chandra, that's a very interesting secret." He straightened up and looked around the audience. "I wouldn't have guessed you were an exhibitionist!" The audience gave an obligatory chuckle. "Let's give you your secret desire. Stand up, Chandra."
But that's not what I said! Chandra's complaint echoed away in her empty, clouded mind. Her body moved without her willing it to, standing straight in front of the chair.
"You're being watched now, Chandra. Can you see the audience around you?" He announced to the crowd. "It's hot in here under the lights, isn't it, Chandra?" he chuckled. "Wouldn't it be nice to take your top off and cool down a little?"
Chandra felt sweat down her temples but barely noticed her hands moving. It's so hot. "It would be nice," she said quietly, in a monotone.
"Yes, take it off, toss it on the bed over there," he said, pointing.
She pulled her shirt over her head and tossed it to where he was pointing. That's better.
"And isn't it too hot for your jeans?"
She unbuttoned them without thinking.
"Shoes first."
Chandra used her toes to slip off her shoes. Her hands grabbed the waist of her jeans and pushed them down far enough for her to step out of them. Finally! she thought toherself. Much cooler.
"See everyone looking at you, Chandra?"
"Yes," she said blankly.
"It's exciting, isn't it?" he asked.
"Yes." Still blank.
"Turn on some music, Chandra." She pulled her phone out of her jeans and turned on some hip hop for all to hear. "Now dance for them, Chandra." She started bouncing to the music. "A little sexier." She began slithering around and gyrating, grinding back against an imaginary person. The Amazing Mezmerist gestured to her and out to the crowd, clapping. The small number of people seated around the club applauded, a few men hooting.
"Now, all that exercise has made you tired, hasn't it?"
"Yes," she said flatly.
"Sleep."
Chandra was leaning on the table with her elbows, watching intently as a man crawled around on stage, barking at everyone and everything. She laughed along with everyone else. "Now, wake!" said The Amazing Mezmerist with a flourish. The man blinked as he stopped barking, looked around and, as realization hit, sheepishly stood up. The audience applauded him and the hypnotist. "And that's the show! Thank you to our volunteers, and thank you all for coming out!" He waved as he backed off the stage.
Now's my chance. Chandra thought to herself. She stood up and walked to the entrance to backstage.
A large bouncer stood at the door. He cracked it and shouted through, "This one?"
"Yes! Her!" came from the back.
Chandra wasn't sure what to think of that, but she went through anyways. "Back here!" came from an open dresseing room door.
She headed towards the sound and turned to look in. She saw a small room with a folding chair in front of a small vanity and a more comfortable chair facing away from her. A woman with long, brown hair sat facing away from her and the Amazing Mezmerist was in the folding chair, wiping off makeup. "Hi, Chandra!"
She stepped into the room and looked down at the woman. At the same time, the woman looked up at her. "Lindsay?" said Chandra.
"Do I know you?"
"No, your husband sent me looking for you."
"Yes, Chandra, he did, didn't he?" the man said. "And now you found her. What are you going to do?"
Chandra pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of Lindsay.
"Chandra, drop the phone." She did, then looked at him, surprised. "I really should've taken care of that loose end a little better," he said. Chandra leaned over to get her phone. "Freeze, Chandra!" he said. She did, not even blinking. Her fear couldn't make it to her still features. "Now it's time to take care of you," he said, standing and taking a few stepsto reach her. He leaned over and whispered in her ear, "You're mine now, and I'm going to enjoy you for a bit. You'll enjoy me too."
Chandra fought the dread taking over her mind. Giving in wouldn't help. She just needed to fight whatever compulsions he had placed in her head.
"Strip. Slowly."
Chandra's hands were moving without her willing them to.
"Each item strips a little bit of your resistance away."
Every motion was deliberate, taking her time to pull off her shirt, her shoes and socks, jeans, underwear. Each item increased the frustration and anxiety flowing through her, but also sapped her will to fight what was happening to her, to fight his words. Standing naked before him, she was breathing heavily, mind unable to resist as her apprehension built.
"You want me." She did. "You want to have sex with me." The trepidation filling her increased but she couldn't fight his words or the desires they built. She felt herself get slick. "It will be the best sex you've ever had. Mind-blowing, in fact. You will cum with each thrust, the first time the best you've every had, and each orgasm after will be better than the last." She felt the command sinking in, incredulous, wondering how that would work, if it could even work. "Now, let's get started."
Unceremoniously he stripped out of his stage outfit and yanked Chandra to him. Her body went along with it, even as her mind tried to rage past the stripping of its will to fight. He was hard, pressing low against her belly. He leaned down to kiss her, and she kissed back, desire building inside warring with what little she could muster to combat his words. He picked her up by the back of her legs, her smaller frame proving no problem for the mezmerist. Without waiting, he slid deep inside her.
She'd never felt anything so incredible. Her back arched, her every muscle spasmed, her eyes rolled back as she clenched around him. Nothing she'd every done, no sex, no drugs, nothing could compare. Her mind whited out. Then he thrust again. She trembled in his arms as her body froze up, her world now centered on his forceful intrusion. He thrust again, and the ecstasy ratched up to another level. She couldn't think past the exquisite pleasure. Then he started pounding faster and faster. It was a never-ending increase of her mind-blanking bliss, her body shaking as her muscles gave everything they could. Then the last thrust and she could feel him release in her, her final plateau higher than she'd ever been. He knelt and laid her down on the floor as she twitched, face still frozen, mouth open and eyes showing only white.
"Wow, you're a great fuck." He leaned in, whispering in her ear. "Time to find out how much I have to clean up after myself."
"Sleep." She did.
Chandra wandered to her car, trying to fight every step. You will drive directly home immediately when you wake up. You will do nothing else while you drive. She got in her car and flipped the ignition. Banging on the steering wheel, she started her drive home. She kept trying to pull over and grab her phone, but she couldn't manage it. She had to drive directly home. She could do nothing else.
Once home, she climbed out of her car and headed up the stairs to her apartment. You will go directly inside your home once you are there. She tried to deviate, but her body wouldn't let her. Once inside, she tossed her keys on the bench in the small entryway as she closed and locked the door, and tried to grab her phone again. You will strip once youare inside. The front window wasn't closed but it didn't matter. She had to strip. This time it was fast, the need to obey thrumming through her. You will take out your phone. She did. Finally. She tried to dial, but the next instruction played in her mind. You will delete all photos you have of Lindsay. Horrified, she could only watch as her hands followed instructions. Each picture she had, the ones from Jacob, the one she took that evening. Once done with that, you will drop your phone. Her hands dropped her phone as she watched, her mind in agony, trying to stop it so she could call Maddie. Instead, the next instruction came unbidden. You will masturbate, each orgasm better than the last, starting withone better than the ones I gave you. She was not in control has her hands slipped down, one sinking fingers inside her and the other twirling her clit. It only took a minute to crest, and the most ominous instruction played. You will forget more with each orgasm. She tried to stop it. She really tried. Instead, she crashed over into bliss, sinking into pleasure she'd never experienced before. The waves of it covered her completely, her body wracked with spasms that sent her to the floor. Forget and keep masturbating until you've forgotten everything you need to.
She couldn't stop. She tried, but each time she crested, her hands froze as she let some memory go, and then they started up again, even though she was so sensitive, getting so raw. First, the ecstasy drove out Jacob stopping by. A tear dripped down her face as it froze in bliss. Then, away went Lindsay, losing her face and her name. More tears washed down, andnot all from the intensity of the joy ripping through her. Maddie disappeared next, not just the call, but all of her friend and confidant. She fought harder, but away went The Amazing Mezmerist last. She knew if she ever met him again, she would still be his, but she couldn't remember who that was anymore. She slumped down on the hard tile and fell into a fitful sleep, dreaming of the best masturbation she'd ever had as her mind irrevocably changed itself around the new gaps in her memory.
