Yesterday, I read a post from The Oatmeal regarding the use of AI by artists, which made me reconsider my position about your specific use of AI in these videos.

You use the AI to create an impossibility, like using CGI. It's not like people who are using it to replace the actual artist.

Terrific work, Daphne! I went through all the clips you've produced and you can definitely see a steady evolution of your skill and ability. Nicely done.

If you don't mind me asking, what software or platform are you using? I've thought about creating clips to go with my stories when I start publishing, and I'm very much in learning mode.

For the primary video clips, I'm using WAN 2.5. I also sometimes use Hailuo v2. Both work pretty well, although be prepared to do dozens of generations before you find one you keep.

I often use Hailou to generate still images from character references.

You can find uncensored (at least for the moment) hosting of WAN and Hailou's video models at https://wavespeed.ai/. Unfortunately, WaveSpeed doesn't host Halluo's still image models, and Halluo's own hosting of them is *absurdly* censored.

I also use a lot of traditional video editing tools (Premiere, etc.) to do the actual assembly, add titles and sound, etc.

That's our feeling. We use it as a way of doing VFX that we couldn't otherwise do. (Our VFX person is using it for the same reasons.)

Thank you, Daphne. I appreciate the helpful info and the inspiration. Right now, I'm focusing on my writing, but I want to get into video soon. This looks like a fun way to get started.
