Title: The Caretaker (Day Two) AI Generated Episode
Post by: GrimTidings on July 03, 2026, 05:31:14 pm
The Caretaker (Day Two) (https://youtu.be/Go-4GpbtTmY)

It's Monday and Iris is officially helping Mr. Sully adhere to his care plan so that he can retain his trust and also live a healthier, longer life. Everything seems to be business as usual and Iris finds herself looking forward to returning to the meditation room after dinner... although she's starting to wonder if she can allow that to continue.

Because I have to use AI tooling at work, I crossed the "anti-AI" bridge months ago. If I could create mind control content for this cheap using real-world tools, I'd do it.

Anyway, only typing that because there's a torches-and-pitchforks sort of feeling around AI stuff. I'd put this into a dedicated channel if there was one but, since there isn't, better shared than hidden.

I actually do welcome feedback on these so trying the fresh thread style.

That's very nice! May I ask what tools you used?

Thank you!

I'm using Google's platform and tools (because the subscription and tokens are the lowest-reputable-cost I could find while I was searching).

Their Flow tool for organizing and operations, Nano Banana Pro for thumbnail generation, Veo 3.1 and Omni engines for the actual video generations.

On my workstation, it's Kdenlive for the editing and composition. I've barely scratched the surface of this tool.

Honestly, if I were doing this for money, I'd probably shell out for Seedance-based generations but this is on a tight time and money budget so Google is "good enough."

Thank you!

Mind control is psychological horror genre for me, always has been: I'm hoping to be able to layer dark and light to create the complex-yet-satisfying outcome I've been dreaming of!

Same here as you've surely read most of my stories trend toward horror if not flat out slasher tropes

This is the part where I come across like a poorly-read moron. Believe it or not, it's your Hypnopics Collective work that made the most impression on me.

I saw your name and went looking in my collection (when I grab stuff I put the artist's name as a prefix) and it's your Relationship Fixer photo manipulations that caught my eye. In particular, for some reason or another, Relationship Fixer 5 (I just checked, I gave it a Rating whenever it came out, so at least I did that)... I guess I've got a thing for the "objectively correct person being mind controlled into devolving into the objectively incorrect position."

For some odd reason... the unshakable association in my head is sports-related (cheerleaders, soccer teams and the like) - and, in particular, a line of female soccer players standing lined up in a rainstorm at night.

One of the reasons why I'm super-appreciative of feedback is because I know how easy it is to NOT give it - even if you really enjoyed it. I know I'm terrified of posting comments because I AM one of those weirdos that can go on-and-on about minutiae... actually I used to call myself "scary feedback guy" when I was a more-prolific poster.

Gah, I digress. I'll run through your backlog - any suggestions for a starting point?

What one is this? Now I want to see it.
