Looking for a Chinese series (yet again)
« on: September 26, 2021, 04:13:41 pm »
Hi, I found this clip from what seems to be a Chinese drama on Bilibili (I think it also was on Youtube some time ago, though I'm not sure) - I really want to know where it comes from, but I can't see any indication of it in the comments, description, or video itself; the Google translation gives "Legend of the Blind", which I believe is what they usually write when people have the title somewhere obvious but still ask about it (problem is, though, I can't see the title). According to a comment, it's apparently a TV series with a long name.

Any help?

You’re right that the commenters are using Blind to jest at those who don’t seem to know.

I used the character names to pin down a title… I didn’t believe it initially, but the title seems to be 校花前传之很纯很暧昧, which is some kind of series featuring idols (usually just some canned drama story featuring male and female idols of the industry as a publicity stunt) - so I guess nothing really happened / is shown with regards to the MC, other than the guy displaying his powers over the ladies. This kind of explains why they’re calling others “blind” since the title was listed in the first video post from the series (StormShadow’s post has that link).

I’m guessing the guy with the ring is the antagonist of the story since he’s talking about getting rid of 杨明,who’s the hero/protagonist.

Here’s an alternate upload I found with commenters giving the title of the series:

I saved the youtube link. The video is still there but set to private now.
It's on this channel:

The caption says "The Visioner".

One more clip I was able to find: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1oA411j7DS/?spm_id_from=333.788.recommend_more_video.-1

Wow, thanks to all of you! I didn't expect any responses, but this helps a lot. That last clip you posted, StormShadow, even mentions "episode 7"; I'm not sure it's the same episode, but it's as good a starting point as any. Either way this is great, this was a drama I'd been trying to find for a looong time - funnily enough, I've stumbled upon that clip in the restaurant/terrace several times, but I'd never actually made the connection that it was the same villain.

Edit: Found it on Youtube, it's episode 6 (around 29:45) - the channel seems to cut some sound from the episodes they upload (presumably for copyright reasons), but this one has the part in full. The two other scenes with the waitress and (who I assume is) the love interest both happen in episode 7 (at the very beginning, then near 36:50).

No problemo. I don't speak Chinese but I was able to navigate the site to locate the user's profile page which contains a great many more videos: https://space.bilibili.com/397810946. Also, the title of the original clip is 美女被控制篇 (translated by google it means "beauty is controlled") if you pop that into their search you'll find a bunch of other clips.  Enjoy.

I do read Chinese but it isn’t a strong language for me, so I use Google Translate when I need to. 🙂
