Excited to see this one in the update list, and it was everything I've been hoping for since Harper went under the first time.

I'm guessing that

Afternoon at the Pink Yoga Studio (mc mf ff md) (new)  by Wittgenstein

This is a solid story, with hot mantra repetition and serial recruitment elements.  I can't help thinking the controller has things a bit too easy though, I'd like to see more effective resistance.

Emily isn’t fond of the new neural interfaces that SpaceCommand is testing, but they are perfectly safe.

I really wanted Emily to find a loophole.  As a longtime Star Trek and Babylon 5 fan this is a great fantasy.  But I want her to find a way to blow the whistle on her sleazy CO.  Since she's compelled to obey unethical orders, could she somehow resist ethical ones in a useful way?  But her CO shows he's genre savvy, I don't see much hope from her.  Maybe one of the other sharp nubile bridge bunnies will figure it out in time?  A sequel or further chapters feel like good ideas.

Well,

I will start with 321s Hostel, chapter two.

I have always admired 321's slowly intricate executed cerebral stories. It is something I always look forward to when reading those stories and chapters.

But this time I was ambushed. Wait, before I go on I have to get myself a nice big glass, no, make that a huge mug of freezing cold ice water.

Now that I have it let me...pour it over myself.

Ahhhhhh....that's better. Now I can continue, just have look through the steam that generated after touching me.

This chapter can best be described by one word: HOT. HOT. HOT. HOT.

321 pulls off one of the most difficult tricks. It is taking a character and switching back and forth, altering her perceptions slowly, by increments, changing what she thinks and knows to be true.

When done right, it has almost as a disorienting feel for the reader as it does to the victim.

Trilby Else, who was so good at this, and few others used that maneuver to varying effect and success in other stories and I have to say 321 did it in an inimitable way that is as great as I have ever read in any story, ever. Just masterful! That is no mean feat to pull off.

To read how Rebecca slowly changes with each snap, now accepting being at the hostel instead of the hotel, now accepting being naked in front of Alice, now understanding that she had no intention of spending vacation time with her great, best friend Emily. I mean why would she spend their vacation time together, right? Oh man, how sinister, how intricate, how sexy.

Just ridiculous. MC really can't get any better than what happened here.

And of course 321 does not rush this. It just keeps going back and fourth like some tennis ball being hit from one side to another, and with each cross of the net Rebecca changes her views. Fuck.

321 understands that the slow burn is the one that penetrates deepest. No quick case of sunburn that will fade out in a few says, this burn will last and last, the pain so exquisite and enjoyable.

I have always loved 321s slow, cerebral approach to MC stories but man, what happened here with the MC just knocked me out. 321 has always been a master of story line, plot, characters but the MC is this story, as it is applied and described is just as good at it can get. 321 is reaching new personal heights in MC depiction with this story and chapter. You really outdid yourself here 321. Thanks!  >:D

As to the story, besides the amazing MC, we see the return of Jessica, as I supposed we would. She too falls into the horrific net as Rebecca induces her. But really not, because as always, it is Alice who is calling the shots and all the rest are puppets.

In the end poor Emily, who no longer cares about spending vacation time with her best friend either finds a use for herself. Or I should say, Alice finds a use for her.

I can't wait to see where this dark, devious, so very smoking hot story goes from here. I'll have more ice on hand just to be safe.

And then we move from one budding classic right to another. Aren't we a bunch of lucky readers?

This story of course is Fumanchu's Paperback chapter three. You know a story is special when the longer it goes on the more interesting the plot gets and the hotter, amazingly, the MC becomes. This story has that terrific double narrative, one seemingly better than the other, until you switch to the previous one and realize, hey, they are both just great so just dig in and enjoy the ride.

The narrator begins by describing some of the action in the comic. His fears that Stella is not really induced but if faking it. Yep, just as I and a thousand other MC junkies would have worried. Fumanchu is so expert and getting in our heads, knowing what his narrator, and we, would be thinking. It is just so much fun to read when he does that. Like looking at a reflection of yourself as shown by someone else. And you think...boy does he know me.

He then goes on to describe some more of life's journey, the budding genius doing some very recondite work for the government. It is here where Fumanchu does something very clever as the narrator talks about how the narrator got an idea from the comic! So not only do we have a double narrative story but Fumanchu cross pollinates them! Bravo Funmanchu! So very imaginative.

The work he is doing is a portent of the shape of things to come in his life. The other seminal moment being meeting the intelligent love of his life, Noel, and the good effect she has on him. What happens between them then one can tell will be a major driver in what becomes of him.

Now on to the comic.

Yep, in my second freezing cold water mug moment of the day I encounter the discussion of Stella and young Lindsey. The languid, lounging bed room scene, replete with  bed room eyes talk about how the investigation into the De Maurier Society was a dead end. Uh huh. To see these two women who joined law enforcement to do good work so subverted is just such a freaking hot MC scene. And to see controlled young Lindsey leading controlled veteran agent around by the nose just keeps pouring the heat on. And to see Lindsey so completely embracing her dark mission of complete betrayal.

Has playing 'I'm a little tea pot' ever been so fun or sexy? No way. Not in my memory.

Keep it coming Fumanchu. You're killing this so unusual story and your'e killing me. In a good way.  ;)

Some other stores I had a chance so far to read I want to comment about, both very good with excellent MC components.

Pan's Hierarchy of Needs continues on it's wicked way and I'm so glad to see it back. Pan uses a very original style of mind control here as Jacob continues to change, corrupt and conquer preternaturally gorgeous sister Ashley.

Not only is the story unusual in its methods but the MC and slow changes going on are just top shelf. Pan is a master of this and Hierarchy is one of his better efforts at it. That's saying a lot considering his awesome body of great works.

Afternoon at the Pink Yoga Studio by Wittengenstein is a really good flat out MC story. Nataly got inducted in the last chapter and now 'decides' to share the love with Laurel. Really good MC here in both chapters. This a very fun story to read.

Night Time Nudging by Mindspark is another brother conquers sister story. These are always fun to read if done write and Mindspark knows exactly how to do it. And like any good predator, the brother has his eyes set not only on lovely sis Sammy but her gorgeous best friend Kylie. Hey, I mean why not, right? And Mindspark does it all, the plot, the story, the characters the MC perfectly.

Interesting to see Witchman come up a sequel to Hypnotic Cab Ride, one of my favorite long time stories with Debbie's Hypnotic Cab Ride. We see Debbie years after the events with daughter in tow. One wonders what fate befell Beth. She was totally out of it by the end of Hypnotic Cab Ride. Good to see this and very fun to read.

Vacation Rental by Lightsail is another very good read. Ann and Matt are on vacation but both of them seem to be undergoing some strange changes in their views and behavior. Lightsail is taking it slow, all the more credit to that, and slow induction of the two is both very hot and adds to a mysterious plot. This story has me hooked.

Watch and Learn by Quiet Hypnotist is anther story with a very good set up, plot and characters. The slow burn, patient MC is so very well done and really smoking. I really am intrigued by where this story of a brother, his nosy sister and  her friend goes.

The one complaint I have about it is the huge paragraphs, or really no paragraphs at all and how when two people are speaking to each other there is no delineation. You really have look carefully, reread sometimes to understand who is saying what. It does take away from the enjoyment of a well thought out, terrifically executed plot. It would be better if reading was easier and smoother.

Hi all! I have the start of a new chaptered story out this week, so I hope folks enjoy it. I got to depart some from my weekly fare and experiment with induction style throughout, but I think it's still just as fun, magical, and hot as I've managed in the past. :D

The first two stories to catch my eye this week are both from first-time contributors to the EMCSA, so I figured I’d poke around the rest of the update and see if there are other first-time contributors (there was one more). So, in the order I read:

In the Beginning (mc mf md sf) (new)  by CuyahogaKingKong
A girl living before the dawn of civilization has her life changed forever when she’s taken by a mysterious light in the sky.

I like this! I’m a sucker for a good abduction and transformation story and a sucker for the way CuyahogaKingKong shows the absolute control. Don’t be afraid, the light orders Ahn, and she’s powerless against the command. (I love how Ahn runs through everything she’s not afraid of anymore; it’s a nice bit of world- and character-building.)

I was throughly satisfied by the abduction, the light’s testing of Ahn, and the start of the transformation. I hope this does get a continuation, because I do want to see Ahn post-transformation.

The Reality Schism (mc mf md gr ds) (new)  by MangoTech
John receives a ring that turns his statements into truth. Skeptical, it takes him a bit to warm up to the power. Once he does, however, anything is possible...

So, what does one do when they get a mysterious magical ring in the mail? This being an EMC story, they test it out and indulge in some sexy fun. John is thorough in his testing, and smart about it, starting with small, mundane changes. MangoTech doesn’t spend too long on this section before moving onto the action that makes this an EMC story.

John is also a dick controller. There’s no internal debate about using his magic to transform people around him. I like that in this sort of story, and I especially like John’s scientist/engineer approach to his testing. He’s more fascinated by how the ring works, what the extent of its powers are, and if he can assemble a harem.

(I so hope he can assemble a harem.)

Afternoon at the Pink Yoga Studio (mc mf ff md) (new)  by Wittgenstein
Nataly takes the afternoon off to have a relaxing yoga session.

Do you like hot young (20-something) ladies being conditioned to obey and serve a nameless master? Do you like cocksucking? Conditioned slaves getting off on being used and then being ordered to forget their blissful service?

Most importantly, do you like serial recruitment? Then this is a story for you!

There are no surprises in the first 2 chapters. (This is not a complaint.) Wittgenstein delivers a solid entry into the unaware serial recruiter subgenre.

I love 321’s presentation of hypnosis, and Chapter 2 of “Hostel”  does not disappoint.  There’s an art to writing inductions and triggering, making them just realistic enough without getting bogged down in the details.  Add that to complex, expertly drawn characters and a mysterious plot and you have real winner.

I'd like to thank badpenny and all the other people around here who are very supportive of new authors like me.  It's especially nice from longtime contributors with impressive bodies of work.

Scalar7th deserves a fair share of credit for chapter one, as I rewrote the first scene basically from scratch after getting his notes.  Chapter 2 is waiting for similar treatment (can't stress enough how much I need test readers), but Ahn's journey has barely started yet!  Stay tuned Chalcolithic Erotica fans! :D

What post of mine?

Getting started

Candy Coated

Is it wicked to say its a sweet hypno piece? But yes, it is, in more senses than one. Delightfully done, and trance lovers will enjoy this a lot
Definitely enjoyed

Magical Girl Syn

Oh my, plenty of twists and turns going on here, on both sides of the magic! I love the play with Carice, even if I do feel sorry for her, really I do. But fine, given the chance to be in her place, of course I would! No idea who eventually wins here, but its great fun in interim
High end of definitely enjoyed

The Merger — Spirals

Talking of stories I'd love to be a victim in, here's another! Love the action between Veo, and Midnight, and fine, between Midnight, and her lucky victims. Part of a really good series of stories
High end of definitely enjoyed

Paperback

As strong a chapter as ever, both sides of the story. If nothing else, I'd love a part as an uncredited woman being converted! As for the way this chapter plays out, loved it! No, not telling you, go read it
High end of definitely enjoyed

Return of the Armored Warrior

Yes, I'd love one of those armored bodysuits, especially the liquid one, but anyway... The play offs between Erika, and Gene, and between her, and the villains are just great, and such fun. Clearly stories with moments of humour, and things not going perfectly are always fun for me, and this is clearly that
High end of definitely enjoyed. A rebuild in one of those suits (including an AI system), and I could happily give more

Lots of great stuff this week, as always!

Carefully Random's The Mask Becomes You is a fun roller coaster this week, full of highs and lows (and creamy middles) for our heroine.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
The whole thing ends on a wonderful cliffhanger. Can't wait to see where this one goes next.

Betsy's 61 Days in River City has smelly booze-swigging Vikings, heroines on the job, and an unexpected quarterly uptick in new television sales. Mysteries are afoot and Motorcycle Maid is still being mean. It's been a wild six weeks, story-wise, and there's still sixteen days of adventure to come!

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Okay, for those of you who read this week's great chapter of Kallie's Subroutine... how many of you immediately went to Google and typed in "my roommate was brainwashed into a latex drone"?   :)

From the beginning it was pretty clear that Lori's brainwashing and implanted trigger phrase had something behind it, and that Lori and Harper risked finding out what that was in the worst way if they poked around too much. These last two chapters have really been amazing. Plenty of hypnosis, plenty of brainwashing, and plenty of hints about who might be behind the whole thing.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

(more to come)

Part 2

Found

Fine, I love these cute stories with a twist, and this is most delightfully one of those. Why cant I find a hypnotist like him, seriously? Rom MC lovers, this is a must, just keep going! Wonderfully done
High end of definitely enjoyed

Indian Bride

One of those stories where she deserved what she gets, but then he has to go a little bit too far, but anyway... Up until then, I was feeling sorry for him, and thanking him for putting her in her deserved place, but... Fine, I'd probably enjoy the transformation done to me, but I dont think he's my man to do it, thats all
Definitely enjoyed. Compromise, as I like the method, if not the protag

Ruby

In truth, its non gender related fd, so any ladies feeling submissive to ladies, could read this, and enjoy too. Yes, fine, Ruby could take me under her control (if so inclined) any day she wished. She's got a sharp mind, and great logic, and would make a great Mistress to anyone.
High end of definitely enjoyed. It is loosely hypno (which doesnt normally get marked this high), but done more as a logical piece, than trance, so merited

61 Days in River City

Pure lunacy in River City too, as would be expected. Fine, my favourite scene has to be the supermarket one, but its all pretty good. The primary mission might get done eventually, but regardless, the ride to that point is just great
High end of definitely enjoyed

Watch and Learn

Nora certainly learns here, and she's certainly watching a few DVD's too! I love the way Harold is playing around things too, teasing her, and I suspect Kailyn has already been worked over too. Until we get actual incest, loving this
High end of definitely enjoyed

Debbie’s Hypnotic Cab Ride (mc ff) (1 new chapter)  by Witchman
Debbie’s friend Beth encourages her to take a ride in a special taxi.

Was pleasantly surprised to see this sequel to the original story - hoping that more will follow in the near future, as possibilities exist for it.

Part 3

Afternoon at the Pink Yoga Studio

Definitely in need of a good edit! It really lives up to the title, and little else, in truth. Well, strictly its 2 afternoons, but anyway... Very formulaic, nothing that really grabbed me in truth. But hey, its a first timer, so skills might improve?
Enjoyed. Would have got high end, if better edited

Hostel

The gem of this batch, by far. Oh my, this is getting delightfully sinister, though I am wonder if there are any vacancies in the 'old crock' section of the hostel, all the same. Looking forward to discovering more
High end of definitely enjoyed

Parasites Infect

Oh fine, the impregnation stuff is big turn off for me, as all know. Other than that though, and the factor of repetition, its OK I guess? I'd read more, but not grabbing me at this point
High end of enjoyed

Resistance 2

Well, that sort of played out as the inevitable end, but a couple of neat moments en route, all the same. Nicely done, but fine, father/daughter incest, big yuck for me!
Compromise? Low end of definitely enjoyed, just maybe, but consider it a wide compromise range! ::)

Stop Watch

Oh, and talking about father/daughter incest, and the fascination with it, crops up here too. Shame for me, because without that, its a pretty decent story. But yes, what father wants tom do with daughter, no thanks
I'll give it a definitely enjoyed as a compromise again, though again, this is just a middle of road mark here

Just ridiculous. MC really can't get any better than what happened here.

Over the last week, I've been revisiting Trilby Else's "Tether" after years of reading it whole. I've been going over it slowly in the hopes of not missing some yummy detail. It's a story that has an unusually high intensity and craft that elevates me to a plane of pleasure that is rare to achieve.

It actually shook me that I felt a familiar transcendence while reading the first, but especially the second of the two chapters of 321's "Hostel." Already I cannot wait to revisit it once the story is complete. I agree with everything in CerebusOne's review. One of my favourite little moments that sent me on cloud nine was Rebecca's preference for coffee. Alice is very cost-effective. *Evil Laugh*

This instant classic of a chapter should come as no surprise since 321 delivered one of the hottest revelations at the end of a chapter mid-way  in "Amnesiac." I still remember it vividly.

Another aspect that makes the mind-churnings of the main characters so utterly erotic is their degrees of corruptibility in hypnotizing others. I love that Rebecca has unspeakable desires on susceptible babes that her wobbly moral compass stops her short of committing. Even better is what a mischievous devil's advocates Emily is when she urges her friend to do worse to others without concern. There is a squick-inducing irony made clear back in chapter one when Emily tells Rebecca that she is not a monster.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I can only hope this story will have more chapters to come! Bring on the slow burns!

Ah I've gotten off easy yet again lol!  I had half a mind to recommend you read chapter 9 and skip chapter 10.  In truth, I don't know that this final chapter would do anything for me either as a third party...  but it was all building in this direction and the logical conclusion.  Hopefully it's good for somebody..!   ???

Thanks Merry. The primary mission is getting done. There's just some preparation to be undertaken as well as a certain date to hit. But things have to be contained in order not to disturb the big event. It's the same for just about anything, isn't it?

Hostel (mc ff) (1 new chapter)  by 321
Rebecca’s trip to Berlin takes an interesting turn.

In the interest of being totally transparent, I dove into this story based on both the reviews in this update thread plus the praise I’ve seen for some of 321’s other stories in my sporadic poking at previous update threads this year. I’m enough of a sucker for slow burns that I’m going to say I’m willing to look past my hypo-squick. (Someday, I’m going to be forced to admit to myself it’s not really a squick.)

Without spoiling too much, I’ll say this plays with some of my favorite EMC themes, and the characters, setting, and associated world building are absolutely enthralling. I love the mindfuckery and Rebecca’s POV, and even (yes) the hypnosis/trance sequences.

I think CerebusOne mentioned something about 321 writing intricate and cerebral stories. That absolutely fits and is indeed the major appeal for me. I love how I’m left satisfied by the action and also left wondering what’s going to come next. Sometimes, I want a story where I'm not entirely confident I know where things are going, because part of the pleasure is, in essence, submitting to the author's vision. I may have ideas where things will go, and if I turn out to be right, I’ll give myself a smug pat on the back. But if I’m wrong, I’ll probably be delighted by the twists. Usually it takes me a couple of stories before I'm willing to extend that much trust to a new-to-me author, but in two chapters, 321 has convinced me it's worth extending trust for this story.

So thank you, 321 for the delightful read! And thank you to everyone who’s commented on Hostel in this tread, because ya’ll finally pushed me over the reading edge.

Properly Handled (mc mf ff md fd in) (2 new chapters)  by Extantelan
A brother and sister grow closer over a shared love of mind control and other various kinks and perversions.

This has been a very disarming story, for lack of better words. That is a very good thing, because that really should be the primary goal of shifting perspectives in stories. Even attempting to derive the true reality can become futile, but can also be part of the twisted fun. More so than ever, as far as we know, we see the true face of Budda, and its more clear than ever, probably, that he and his sister are perfect for each other. Kacy's turning into a really great character as well. OK, maybe tickle fights are kinda more silly to me than erotic, but things moved forward from there to more than what we were waiting for.

Part 4

Debbie’s Hypnotic Cab Ride

One of a few in this batch I'd love to be part of! Yes, I know the first chapter is almost 18 years, and 9 months ago (Yes, this is significant), but it was short, so I went for it, and I'm glad I did. The first chapter, oh to be in that taxi, and I loved the way the second chapter told the story since then, leading to the literal climax to this section of the story. Oh fine, poor Beth, but otherwise... So where do I get some of that incense...?
High end of definitely enjoyed

I Have No Idea

I'm sure the author knows what I'm going to complain about, all those babies, and mother talk! Yes, in truth, little here for me, as the mermaid tail, and underwater breathing lungs havent arrived yet!
Lets go no rating, taste issues only

The Reality Schism

Pretty well summed up by the synopsis in truth. To be honest, I'm not sure what he does to deserve the honour, but I cant deny, the start when he's testing it out is amusing, until the start of overkill, with cock length. In truth from there, it goes downhill in the obvious way. There are some neat reality changing moments, but most of them arent. But OK, if I could have that ring, and turn myself into a cute, skilled 30's dancer, then fine...but otherwise
Compromise? Low end of definitely enjoyed, probably being kind. Those who like silly reality changing stories will get more

Subroutine (Kallie)

Do me a favour, Harper, send me that virus, and send me the latex drone catsuit, please! I love the shall I, shan't I stuff, even if you know what she's going to do in the end. But yes, the end result is very nicely done
High end of definitely enjoyed. Virus, and catsuit, I promise to raise the mark before running it

Yew and Me

Talk about any amount of double, and even triple dealing going on here. As for where developments go from here, hmm? As for Svetlana's conversion, oh please... that was delightful. Would I enjoy that done to me? What do you think? Oh, and the story is brilliant, regardless.
Yes, enough conversion given here for low end of much enjoyed

Pan's Hierarchy of Needs continues on it's wicked way and I'm so glad to see it back. Pan uses a very original style of mind control here as Jacob continues to change, corrupt and conquer preternaturally gorgeous sister Ashley.

Not only is the story unusual in its methods but the MC and slow changes going on are just top shelf. Pan is a master of this and Hierarchy is one of his better efforts at it. That's saying a lot considering his awesome body of great works.

Thanks for the kind words!

Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m glad that you enjoyed the story so far, and I hope that you enjoy the upcoming chapters as well.  :)

Parasites Infect (mc ff) (new)  by Chrysostomon
Alien parasites begin to spread among the female population.

Alien parasites infecting women? That fits my interests ;) I did get that subtly old school, alien invasion vibe from the start. I just love the old fashioned trope of a couple normal people most certainly about to experience something truly otherworldly. Doesn't have to be sex generally, but this is erotica after all (not really much sex here, ironically). Not to mention that the Australia setting invokes the positive memories Australia's occasional sci-fi output. Ultimately, this mostly just had its fun with many familiar sci-fi horror tropes. It did become a bit predictable and repetitive, as a result, but that might be just an issue with the serial recruitment theme. Otherwise quick and overall fun read.

First, I want to sincerely thank you for the input you've given since I started this series, it is the only feedback I've gotten and  I appreciate it. It is interesting that you mention true faces because I had already written in the next installment about a moment where a mask slips..  :P   anyway I had decided before to conclude the story in two weeks (I have other ideas I want to start working on plus full time job means I am getting antsy) but to do all that would require too great a suspension of disbelief to get where I want this to end, and I think it would disappoint you, seemingly this story's only fan. So, I will state now, just so you know I am not cheating later on, everyone in the story is more complex then so far indicated.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Merry - by now you will realise that this is something that I lack, particularly where my writing is concerned.  I'm pleased (and relieved) that you enjoyed this key chapter as I thought that I had gone 'way OTT with the complexity and descrptions.

Actually I'm going for realism and if all is going to plan, Valantina Karpova is twenty-one years old this year...  And the rest is (or will be) history at some time in the future...  If you like, I'll email her on your behalf so then all you will need to do is to hang in there and she'll get around to you eventually! - Тогда это будет привет, веселый дрон!

Loved the chapter, always love these stories where things dont go entirely as you would assume they would, and a few of those here, for sure.

As to Miss Karpova getting back to me, I might have a lifespan issue by then. I'm already 61, so getting to the wrong end of life anyway, and on top of that, been reading on medical websites that the seizures I 'almost certainly' had (no one wants to give me the full details, probably wisely) can take up to 10 years off my life. So she might need to work quicker than planned, lol

Part 5

Binding Rings

Well, I'd rather he focused on Emma too, but the author is clearly more into the incest stuff, ah well... Mind, I'd like to see Emma in charge of him, but anyway... Great story, shame about the incest fixation
Low end of definitely enjoyed as a compromise

Fortunes Told

Technically a couple that had sex in 2002 had an 18 year old daughter in 2019, but other than that, its a lovely story. Oh find, the cuckold on him was turn off, but that was my only real fault, beyond the need for an edit
Definitely enjoyed

It Runs in the Family

Another where if it wasnt for the incest, it would get better marks. Loved the various play offs between Connie, and her host family, some of the logic in that was just crazy, but fun.
Definitely enjoyed

Whatever Gets You Through The Night

Why not just get Colleen to go to Naples with the letter, as no one would show any interest her going on a company plane? But other than that...The play off between the good folk here is great, the play off between the bad folk reminded me of those 'Hitler videos' you see spoofing on You Tube, in truth. And as for the ending, that could cause events to occur!
High end of definitely enjoyed

Last batch

Hot Blood: Sexiness and Lust in a Silicon Valley Startup

Loving this, just loving this. If I was still 'work capable', I would love a job under Lavinia, probably quite literally! Its very entertaining stuff, in all directions, and anyone planning sabotage, I wouldnt bother!
Low end of much enjoyed. I swear Lavinia talked me into that mark!

In the Beginning

Oh, and loved this too, poor Ahn deserves all the love, and help she can get. All so beautifully told, and done. One for those who love the sweet end of MC
Low end of much enjoyed.

Lawful Orders

One of those I shouldnt love (Poor Emily), but fine, I did. Also shouldnt love due to Controller being so unlikeable, but anyway... Yes, fine, those implants sound great
High end of definitely enjoyed

Simon Says (Chrysostomon)

Alright, I enjoyed the initial incest more than I should, but then it went downhill very quickly, with assault, and verbal abuse, so I bailed out quickly.
No rating, major taste issues

I must say that I am absolutely loving the dual narrative in Paperback. Our narrator has expanded from being just a kid with an MC fetish, prone to being disappointed at mainstream MC media (like so many of us!) to being a mind controller himself! It's also obvious that he is telling this story to someone who may not be in a position to walk away or refuse to listen... I love how the narration has turned, almost without our even noticing it, from genial adolescent remembrance to actual Bond villain soliloquy. Wonderful stuff.

And then, on top of that, you have the story's beautiful heroine totally under the control of her friend and partner, with more than a hint of more evil deeds to come. Cannot wait to see what happens to Stella next!

Mrs. Mason had me laughing out loud in this week's installment of Magical Girl Syn. Oh, parents and their expectations! If only she knew what was really going on, lol! Meanwhile, there's a battle of wills between Carice and Feitciero. Some great scenes here, and a setup for a couple of future showdowns between various characters.

Debbie's Hypnotic Cab Ride Redux makes me wonder what kind of story I might write in 2036 about Kate Pendleton's adult child.  :)
What an interesting and fantastic way to revise an old story, even if it makes me feel a bit old just reading it!

(To be fair, Witchman has revisited this story in the past, most recently with the also-excellent The Hypnotic Cab Ride 2012 in, well, you know...)

I kind of know how that feels in a way, so I'm sorry you had to experience it. Please don't take a lack of mention too seriously, there are likely plenty of people that enjoyed it that just never let it be known.

That said, I personally find male-male stories a bit of a squick (kind of my only one, to be honest...). It might be the same for the other people that regularly take the time to review things.

Interesting... I honestly never thought about how the story would be listed and categorized. I set out to write about stage hypnosis, and thought this was an interesting direction for the story. I hope those who enjoy stage hypnosis will enjoy the story regardless of the gender dynamics. At least that's what I look for in a story... the characters come second to the mind control. Perhaps that's just me.

I'd wager the vast majority of people read this style of erotica because they want to picture themselves either as a controller or controlee in a scenario. As notions, fantasies are particular. That said, don't feel bad. Currently I am serializing a story here with incest and wasn't aware that despite it apparently being incredibly popular genre, few want to admit to reading that category. Be it here or privately through email. My suggestion would be to start posting it elsewhere as well, increase the distribution (particularly to sites catering to m/m erotica) you should see more feedback I think.

In addition to the above point, a vast majority of people that read the stories that are posted here are never going to say anything, so please don't take a lack of reviews as a sign that people aren't reading/enjoying.

Also, and while this certainly isn't an inherently negative quality of any story, stories/chapters that are over 10k words in length are a bit hard to swallow. The people that regularly review things here are likely reading through a lot of stories as is. For myself, there's a lot of stories that I'm interested in in this update that I likely won't have the time to read this week. While I was going to give your story a shot, 10k words is just a bit too much of a time investment for me.

I don't want to say that to discourage you. If you feel that the story justifies that length then by all means, the story comes first. Just be aware that around here, it may put people off. If the story can be broken down into smaller chunks, I would suggest doing so, and then space out when they are submitted.

A couple of things to keep in mind...

#1. Not everyone is into erotic mind control and hypnosis for the same reasons. Some people are more interested in the RL applications and technical details and some people aren't.

#2. I'm not sure if Simon comes up with the greatest one-sentence blurbs for most of the stories. A different blurb that emphasizes the stage hypnosis more might help with bringing in readers.

#3. People who are willing to read MM stories are probably willing to read them for different reasons as well. If I'm going to read a story about a MM maledom hypnotist, the fact that this guy is "wild" is not going to be a selling point for me.

No, Stageshow27, that's how I write as well.  The characters come fiirst then I sort of follow them around and describe what they get up too: sometimes they surprise me!

The Mind Control comes second, as indeed does the erotic content: the drawback with this method of writing is that often the story just fades away as the characters stop doing interesting things...  I have a file of twenty-plus unfinished stories on my computer including an MC hive novel that is stalled at 120,000 words and 80% complete...

You may have noticed, but the site is littered with unfinished and abandoned stories - something that I personally find to be very annoying.  I will never post the first chapter until after the final one is written.

Rookie mistake I am guilty of for my first submission as well.  I think for some bizarre reason I thought it would non-objective to provide the summary of my own story.  Of course that's ridiculous and it would be a huge chore for Simon to write summaries for every story, without even knowing the full context if it was a chaptered release.  I recall someone ragging on the description that Simon wrote (likely unbeknownst to the poster) but again...  there is certainly no blame to be assigned to anyone by myself.  Lesson learned!  Write your own summary!

I agree, break it down.  As Shandra says, more people will give it a shot.  But also bear in mind, not everyone comes on here every week, and if you publish it all out in one shot, you won't get any exposure beyond that and likely it will get missed in the shuffle.  My stories tend to get updated like 4-6 months on here vs writing it all at once and publishing it in one shot, then being buried in the archive, which only grows larger by the week!!

Also Shandra is right to say that the vast, vast majority of people consume and say nothing at all.  I just started publishing elsewhere that does record hits, allows comments, reviews etc.  It has about 5500 views in less than a week and one comment.  ONE.  So, there's no point at all to write for feedback.  It's nice to get some validation, but don't hold your breath...

#2. I'm not sure if Simon comes up with the greatest one-sentence blurbs for most of the stories. A different blurb that emphasizes the stage hypnosis more might help with bringing in readers.

It's nice to get some validation, but don't hold your breath...

the characters come second to the mind control. Perhaps that's just me.

Actually, Stageshow said just the opposite of you, fyi

Okay first off, wow, I love discussion that erupted here!

1. Well, sadly, I must admit that I did in fact write my own synopsis. Don't blame Simon. I thought my synopsis should be brief, and not reveal any of the content. I realize I'm not actually selling copies of it, so it didn't occur to me that I should be trying to pique people's interest in the same way. This is definitely something I shall think about with my next book. (Though maybe on some level I was inspired by other synopses written by Simon, and I thought that style was preferred here?)

2. (And for others who addressed this concern.) I have actually received some wonderful private messages from people who enjoyed the story. I'm aware that most who read will never comment and I'm fine with that. I was simply referring to this particular thread and the people who like to post reviews every week. I don't visit this forum as often as I'd like to, but when I do, I always love to visit this particular thread and read what people are saying about the new stories. So, on a personal note, I was disappointed to find my story being passed over... specifically here. I have no disillusion over how my story is viewed.

3. I appreciate the tips on word count. I will have to keep that in mind, however I stand by this story and the length. It almost all takes place on stage "in real time" if you will. I could have split it up, but it still would be one very long first story and a very brief conclusion. I try to write self-contained stories as opposed to episodes... but I see why those are easier to consume.

All very valuable opinions. Thanks!

People submit stories without a synopsis?

geniuses like me have done it before..   ::)

I didn't even realize you could for the first few stories, like Melting and Cover.

I had stumbled upon Madam Kistulot's guide for submissions, which went over picking a good synopsis for your story. Perhaps because of that, I just assumed it was a requirement. I did not know Simon would add one for you.

I also thought it was a requirement.  Meh, I stand by it.

I'm digging Hostel a lot. I like how Rebecca is being controlled yet ends up doing exactly what she wanted in the first place. I often find it a little too convenient to have the characters in a story be mc fetishist themselves, but it works wonderfully here. I also enjoyed the local touches. I don't live in Berlin, but I do live in Germany. Some of the German was a little stilted, though. 321, If you need a native speaker to touch up your German, hit me up.  ;)

Late to the party with this one, but The Mask Becomes You was such a thrill this week. The revelation of the new power was wonderful, the MC was hot as all hell, and that cliffhanger? Just thinking about what might result of it had me stressing out. Only complaint I have with the story is that I don't know what happens next just yet.

I’ve been submitting stories to Simon for over a decade and I found out you can submit your own synopsis just now, from this thread.

I started off doing them, then realised Simon was (generally) making a better job of them than me, so left it to him. The one time I disagreed, I emailed him, and with due credit, he changed it to my suggestion instead. But that was a 1 off in about 60 odd stories!

I didn't realise he wrote synopses for you... Does that mean he reads every story that gets uploaded? Or at least skims them?

He definitely looks through them. To what extent I can't say for sure. Which is why I tried my best to get my story in no later than Thursday. Failed on that with the finale, though =(

What is the cutoff for getting into a week's update? If I submit my next chapter this afternoon is there a chance it'll make it?

People have submitted stories as late as the morning of the update. I would strongly recommend against this though, as I imagine it does nothing but put an undue burden on Simon. Generally, I'd just say the earlier the better.

If memory serves, the recommendation used to be to get the story in around the time the Whats Up Wednesday thread goes up. The actual deadline is whenever Simon commits the update from his end. On the other hand, if something misses the update one week, it'll be in the queue for the following week.

Thank you for the kind words! <3

Thanks both! I've been trying to get to this cliffhanger for months now, I hope it had the intended impact!  Glad the rest was fun too :)

For me, I loved Hostel, Subroutine, and Paperback, but I feel like everything I would say about these has been said. Didn't get around to others, sorry!
