Volume I of "This Is Our Story" comes to a disappointing end. I guess it was necessary to move the plot but a whole chapter devoted to the asshole bully wasn't fun to read.

Sadly that luck doesn’t always extend to picking up yellow stories. ⚠️ HARSH CRITICISM WARNING ⚠️ Karen’s entrance didn’t come off as particularly menacing or creepy. Fuckpuppet resurfacing could have been done better by giving some sense of what Eve was starting to feel, or have that persona manifest partially before taking over fully. The mantra was fine but almost too long and could probably be tightened up to have more punch. And then there is the infinitely callous ending with snuff thrown in to try and twist the knife. I’m not against snuff per say, but the act needs to have a lot more meaning and weight behind it than we see here.

I normally avoid vampire stories but for some reason I read this one and I'm rather glad that I did as it seems to be a good one! I hope it carries on as it began and am looking forward to future chapters.

Shy, nervous pushover Katie lives at the mercy of her domineering flatmate Adriana, and her flatmate’s cruel girlfriend Lucy. But when Lucy reveals herself as a vampire and bites Katie, she starts to develop a will of her own...
This is the kind of story that can start off and whiny and annoying. Katie does go into detail about her negative feelings toward her roommate. Yet, it was surprisingly engaging. This was clearly building toward something. I also enjoyed the realism here. Never had such terrible roommates, but we all at least get annoyed by our roommates sometimes. They may snore, they may be messy, they may be noisy during sex. It often works out, but many definitely had those terrible roommates you're just stuck with. Yet, I found myself kind of liking Lucy. She was very aware and proud of herself as the queen goth bitch. As such, it was very much understandable that she grew tired of the incredibly passive Katie, and decided to force the most dramatic personality change the only way Lucy knew how. My only complaint was that the "reveal" was given away in the synopsis. Revealing and confirming the vampirism naturally would have had a more dramatic effect. I really did enjoy this otherwise. Can't wait for more!

Being nasty to the sweet girl, not just controlling her, just never my thing. Clearly events might be about to change, but will have to hedge my bets on this for now.
No rating, taste issues? Just need to see where this goes next before committing more

Quite seriously, this only needs one thing to happen, and I'm sure I dont have to tell the author what that is, for this to get into absolute heaven country, which I certainly wasnt expecting a couple of chapters back. Will it all play out that way, who knows, but looking forward to finding out, for sure

That's fair. I honestly don't remember if you liked the original piece or not. When I wrote it, I had some ideas to develop the plot in other installments but they all fell through at the time. This was not one of them as I only got back into this particular universe because of a recent patron request/reward. Thank you for reading it nonetheless. :)
I was really interested to see where Following Her Dream was going to go after the last chapter, and it didn't disappoint. It reminded me a bit of those old mob movies where the flawed hero keeps trying to get out and keeps getting pulled back in. And now poor Janet is being asked to become the very same person she was at the start of the story. What will she do? She's already started off down a path, but... let's just hope that Rachel doesn't show up in the middle of all of this!
