What follows here is not a rule, but a request.
When you review work here, realize that there are real people here, who put real work into real writing. We aren't asking everyone to just say nice things about everyone's writing: that would be a disservice to the writers themselves, who are looking for feedback. We encourage honest commentary, even if that commentary isn't positive. But acid criticism, no matter how witty, plays better out in the general Internet than it does here. Before pushing "Post" on a pan of someone's work, consider if the reason you are doing this is to provide feedback to allow that person to write a better story, or because you think your teardown of someone is hilarious. If it is the second, you may wish to reconsider.
