Title: iskander-zombie has created some Downing street related images
Post by: StoryFan on December 08, 2025, 10:55:49 pm
So i was browsing around the internets and i discovered https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/gallery/99153318/code-of-conduct

a whole treasure trove of downing street stories made into images! some are even from today.

okay so i really need to talk about this! I'm basically on the edge of my chair right now. because I'm really wired. firstly in my head this looks nothing like the images being produced like in my head the whole things different, a few of the images i really like even though they look more err gritty and realistic. I'm really glad someone's had an attempt at it though because i really like to see whether my imagination is the same as other peoples.
https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Shrink-Rapt-cinematic-poster-1270849444 So with this picture what i really like is the guy while being sort of normal looking his eyes really give off like a scary intense look which i really LOVE! like if i could explain what makes a main character good and bottle it it would be that, sort of you know funny but also there's this uncanny valley scary feeling emanating from it!

https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Amanda-s-home-look-maid-variant-1270867339 this one i really like from Simon says.
 https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Amanda-s-full-on-office-tart-look-1270357597
https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Amanda-s-final-look-1270886321

and obvious from happy to oblige i love these images https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Debbie-on-her-desk-failed-draft-1273175101
https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Debbie-is-lost-in-a-reverie-1273215091
https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/A-lecture-on-lust-1273222514
https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Debbie-s-look-12-Priestess-of-Lust-1273098602

https://www.deviantart.com/iskander-zombie/art/Debbie-s-look-15-Final-surrender-in-white-1273122256

mainly because i love the whole story! so i love any type of art recreation of it, i think it was my first story i read that i really loved.

Yes, I did, and I plan to do more.  ;)

I think it's perfectly normal for a literary work to evoke different visual associations in different people. This is just my interpretation (well, my and AI generator's, for which I wrote prompts based on my understanding of these characters).

I'm glad that you appreciated it. Thanks.

Always thought the EMCSA could use some "visual aid". Very nice art Iskander, love the triptique motifs.

Thanks for sharing StoryFan, was thinking of including a link at the top of my stories but also worried if it would be received well as nobody else (that I know of) seems to be doing it yet. I think we're on the same page - Yes, text first, but something about knowing your imagination aligns with the author's is HOT.

What does everybody think of including a hyperlink to art on the story page itself? Illustrative like Iskander's? Hyperreal? Cinematic? Does the style even matter?

I'm glad that you like it.  :)
Still gotta figure out the balance between realistic and cartoonish here (later stages of the story).

Next one will be a delightful Downing Street story called "Dim Blue Eyes". After that, I'll definitely need to take a pause.

I still feel kinda embarrassed seeing my username in a thread title, especially next to such a prominent genre figure. Oh well...  :P

By the way, this story's companion piece, a classic "Bimbo Eyes" was already illustrated by a wonderful dynamoob almost ten years ago. In the years before the ascent of AI generative models, mind you.

Okay, after delving a bit into trilby's super dark (and super hot!) erotic horror universe, I feel the need to get back to something more light-hearted, like another Downing Street story to illustrate.

Next one up will be either "Movie Mania" or "Bawdy and Soul". Sometime, when I'll get around to it...

I appreciate it. 🤗
I'll get back into it soon, but Nano-banana is acting up last few days. Apparently, any detailed and long description of a female character (even wearing a parka) causes a system meltdown now. Funny.  :) Not possible to keep characters consistent for the time being. So I'm waiting for them to fix this and sorting the stuff that I already managed to generate. AI is still very far from being even close to stable and reliant.

"Laboratory Accident", a new story by Downing Street was recently illustrated by me.

The author doesn't intend to post it in a classic text format - due to its shortness, as I understand. But the captions include the whole text, if read chronologically.

Two things

1. These are great, I really hope to see Birthday Present next, always loved the description of the birthday girl's friend getting love-struck by her dad and seducing him as a distraction, looking forward to seeing that play out.

2. I really like the Downing Street stories I've read on the whole, but they typically lose me because I'm more of a straight forward depictions of getting hypnotized reader. Does Downing Street have any stories with more explicit uses of hypnosis or inductions/slipping under and overtly brainwashed scenes?

It's been a while since I last read it, but "Stealing Sleep" had a couple of nice "classic induction" scenes.

And a few subliminal brainwashing scenes in some other stories, I think...

Good stuff!

Loved the stocking work on "Rendezvous", BTW.  I find it hilarious how AI can't quite wrap it's transistors around the concept of "backseam" stockings without trying for front seams too.

I love stealing sleep! but i have no idea how you could illustrate it. because i find the face and eyes descriptions the most interesting in the story.

Thank you!
Sometimes it's just bad prompting on my part: I may have forgotten to delete the "(seamed) stockings" part when the character would be seen from the front in a particular picture.

It's not your prompting, I assure you.   It honestly just has a mental block, much like how it keeps insisting on thinking you need to go "under" the stockings to get to the genitalia when it writes prose.  Blame the erosion of specificity of  the term "stockings" since the invention of pantyhose, and the training dataset being slanted towards modernity because it was sourced from the internet and there were far fewer people discussing stockings on the internet in 1955.

Finally, I have finished all the illustrations to "Talked Themselves Into It".
It will take me a month or so to sort them out and upload, but the most tricky (and interesting) part is done.

While I'm at it, an observation. Regarding the characters' appearance in AI-generated art, "regression to the mean" is a more serious problem than I thought. It often goes unnoticed, but I found out accidentally that Priscilla from this story (before her "blondification") often looks almost like a clone of Doris from "Movie Mania". Which was not an intended effect at all, obviously. Comparing their portraits side-by-side, I saw a striking resemblance, and got into it a bit more. As it turned out, characters had very similar text anchors. Both were described more or less as a "beautiful woman in her late 20s or early 30s, long straight dark brown hair, sophisticated features, high defined cheekbones, sharp refined jawline, almond-shaped eyes, full lips, statuesque hourglass figure", with some minor variations. So it's no wonder that AI starts depicting a generalized cookie-cutter "beautiful brunette" after a while. Nothing to be done now, but I'll have to take this into account from now on and dilute those general, standard descriptions with some more specific features (resting facial expression, ethnic anchor, asymmetries, celebrity look blending etc.)

One of my early favorites now, investigative journalism, the thing I like about it is how it reminds me of Terri hatcher getting hypnotized away from superman, the idea that even if you were a hulking superhuman machine a hypnotist could still control your girl! I'm not sure exactly how I would picture dr Melrose but seems like a fun one!

It always seemed to me that female reporters/journalists make some of the greatest (and hottest) subjects for the mind control erotic thriller genre. Trilby's "Loveknot" also comes to mind.

Dr.Melrose was described pretty good in the story, I had no trouble visualizing him as a small but subtly intimidating, suave and intelligent man in his 40s.

Hi! For all of these artworks I used mainly Google Nano Banana 2 and Pro (in app and through API). For some more troublesome scenes I used Qwen Image, Flux 2 and Grok Imagine. Some very simple, basic post-production in image editors is also used when needed (and when I'm not too lazy to do that).

Do you use any service to keep continuity? I was trying to experiment with Higgsfield AI, but for video mostly.

I use text anchors, sometimes I add visual references, but very rarely lately (they are less efficient and cause more glitches).

I've been using Google Gemini to generate my parody pulp covers, but with more manual image editing for adding the cover text and occasionally generating two separate image portions and combining them manually when I can't get the AI to compose things correctly. After experiencing the amount of fiddling it takes, I'm impressed with the results you've been getting.

I don't think it's reality warping, just plain old mind control. Ben doesn't change anything in the physical reality, he just influences how people percieve it.
