Yay, new things! Looks like some good ones this week! :)
321,
You are correct. Including this one called Hostel. You should read it. I think you would enjoy. I know I sure am.
Out of the ones I have time to check today that I really enjoyed:
Chrysostomon's Daughter Replaces Mother. This one is short and sweet...or should I say short and hot and good. Not easy to write a short and make it interesting or hot, simply because there's not much time. You have to do it just so. Chryso managed to pull it off because Lucy's and Daphne's close relationship and Lucy's back story are successfully established with nice writing. The MC part is terrific, where the affected person completely disengages from their previous emotions of love and caring and instead now only exists for the controller. It slugs the victim and reader in the head like a hammer. Their reactions upon donning the necklace are hot. I really liked this story.
Then you have the two longer stories from two amazing writers that keep on flying down the tracks. Not straight tracks, but wild twisty ones that leave you holding on with white knuckles to stay in your seat. I always gotta run to these two when the new releases are out.
Both these stories are very different but are tied together by great, great writing and intricate tension fueled plots. For those who love intellectual mind control stories, it's all right here with nothing left out. Just so smart balls out fun and games at the highest levels.
SoVeryFascinated's Kat and Mouse really flips over on it's head as the formally strong, smart Kat is now the one in danger and Marisa, seemingly helpless before now has to save her. She has a plan. What is it? I can't wait to find out. It better work or they are doomed. Also, will Kat have anything left to help? She is strong and smart and understands hypnosis very well but clever Quentin, who also understands hypnosis at a high level is using selective memories and experiences she had during her life with Marisa to change her view of things. Boy so now we have a race with everything at stake, Marisa's plan vs Quentin's head work on Kat.
And last but never ever least there is 321' Hostel. Rebecca got a bit of a delay in her plans by a visit from a certain lovely Aussie that she happens to....covet in the worst way. This visit not only delayed her plans for Alice but also brought new temptations to her. 321 always does such a fine job of putting both and angel and devil on the protagonists shoulders. Will that delay cause problems? Oh you know the answer if you have reading 321's marvelous stories.
So at the end of this chapter 321 throws it all up in the air again. Carefully laid plans turned to dust but the actions of others, others not even aware of what is really happening.

Hostel
I've never been let down by a chapter of this story, or any other by 321. Let's just start off with my favorite part, that entire Emu reference! And you kept it going so much longer... CR and I are going to have to step up our game. Perhaps an entire anthology revolving around emu-based hypnosis? I don't think I could have been smiling more while reading that.
Not much else to say that wouldn't devolve into spoilers, so without further ado:

Oh the suspense!
Kat and Mouse
As good as was expected! I certainly can't stand the antagonist anymore, now that we seem to get a bit more knowledge about the kind of person he is, but I suppose that's the intention, which is great! The stuff with Kat was engaging and nerve wracking, and the parts involving Marisa were so tantalizing secretive... just like all the other chapters I can't wait to see what's going to happen next!
Building a Better Becky
Admittedly only read this because of the synopsis. Certainly didn't turn out the way I expected, but for once, this was a good thing. There is a hint of racial... play, I guess? But it wasn't really vindictive like I had thought it'd be. All pretty downplayed, I suppose. I'd say it's a pretty lighthearted story. Ultimately there wasn't really much in it for me. The hypnosis/mind control elements were... I guess told not shown would be the best way to describe it. The story is more of just a focus on one girl's journey to be someone different.
